Founded August 23, 1900 in Boston — the nation's first Black business organization.
The National Business League® was founded by Dr. Booker T. Washington on August 23, 1900 in Boston, Massachusetts as the first and oldest national Black business association in the United States.
For more than 125 years the League has organized Black businesses, professionals, and institutions around ownership, capital, contracts, and collective economic power.
Today the League operates nationally with state and local chapters, an international alliance, and a modern digital platform connecting members to markets.
